Dalai criticized the Chinese government for opposing the awarding of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize to Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo, saying China must change, but some hard-liners were stuck in an 'old way of thinking.'

Nyt näkyy kuin asian bonuksena Kiinan tuki Pohjois-Korealle - joka oletettavasti oli siellä plussapuolella punnittaessa huomionosoituksen ohjaamista totalitaarisen maan sisään - sen vankilaan - demokratiavaatimustensa takia istuvalle Liu Xiaobolle.
Pohjoismaissa presidenttimme Tarja Halonen ilmaisi tukensa palkintolinjalle, kun taas Ruotsin pääministeri Fredrik Reinfeldt on tainnut pysytellä hiljaa kuin kusi sukassa - en ole ainakaan nähnyt kannanottoa Liun saamasta Nobelista, valitettavasti.
