from the psychopath

W
hat I know is this. Something is most assuredly amiss in the brain of the President of the United States. And he is the one with the nuclear codes.
Karen Shiebler
I write because it’s getting harder to march and because words are my only weapon.
He is the one who has the nuclear codes, for sure.
I like this “missed the boat”
Then there is the repeated phrase “missed the call”. We have a few idioms that are close to this one (“missed the boat” or “missed the mark” come to mind.) But we don’t say “missed the call” unless we mean a phone call. Or we’re referring to a sports referee.

So it goes ..

We saw the same lack (like before) of comprehension this week when Trump was asked about having second thoughts on his trade war with China.
Mr. President, do you have any second thoughts about escalating the trade war with China?
Yeah. Sure. Why not? Might as well, might as well.
Once again, he completely failed to understand the question. A question which was then repeated by a different journalist, to which he replied,
I have second thoughts about everything.
Did he even understand the meaning of  `second thoughts´? I am not at all sure.
 i see.

When the levee breaks
from the album Led Zeppelin IV
Don't it make you feel bad
When you're tryin' to find your way home
Cryin' won't help you prayin' won't do you no good
Now cryin' won't help you prayin' won't do you no good
When the levee breaks mama you got to move
All last night sat on the levee and moaned
All last night sat on the levee and moaned
Thinkin' 'bout me baby and my happy home

Do the right things

TOP10 #COVID19 themed attack statistic by http://any.run

Now the gang behind Maze ransomware, for example, has heard the petitions, by Mikko Hypponen, Chief Research Officer at F-Secure, to do the right things.
Stay the far away from medical organizations!

So as Computer Business Review recently reported, security firm Check Point said on March that it had seen over 6,000 new coronavirus-related domains registered in a mere week: it found 2,200 to be suspicious and confirmed 93 as malicious.

Anti-fascist

We know after the war, Simone Segouin, mostly known by her codename, Nicole Minet, studied medicine and became a pediatric nurse. She is still going strong, and this October (2020) will turn 95. In her next life, she will be an electric cuitarist or something like that.

She was only 18 when the nazi-Germans invaded. Her first act of rebellion was to steal a bicycle from a Nazi German military administration, slicing the tires of all of the other bikes and motorcycles so they couldn't pursue her.
She found a pocket of the Resistance and joined the fight, using the stolen bike to deliver messages between Resistance groups. She was an extremely fast learner and quickly became an expert at tactics and explosives.
She led teams of Resistance fighters to capture Nazi German troops, set traps, and sabotage Nazi's equipment.
As the war dragged on, her deeds escalated to derailing German trains, blocking roads, and blowing up bridges, helping to create a Nazi-free path to help the Allied forces retake France from the inside. She was never caught.
Segouin was present at the liberation of Chartres on August 23, 1944, and then the liberation of Paris two days later. She was promoted to lieutenant and awarded several medals, including the Croix de Guerre.

Yes, you were the best

On this day in 1965,
John Mayall released the single Witch Doctor
on Immediate Records, where page was a producer
Jimmy Page recently told Uncut magazine why Led Zeppelin were the greatest band,
What I mean is: when you talk about a band as a collaborative musical unit, we were the best. ..
I am not talking about one or two genius songwriters, and everyone else tagging along. I am talking about a collection of musicians who are each at the top of their craft in their own right. In Led Zeppelin, we were exactly that.
Page recently revealed who ruined the Led Zeppelin reunion:
It’s really hard to say something like that and not sound conceited, but over the years, a lot of other musicians have told me they thought we were the best. I’m not talking about record sales or concert attendance, although I think we can hold our own with anyone.
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page revealed that he rejected a distortion pedal that was given to Jimi Hendrix in a new interview. Page rejected the Octavia used on Hendrix’s classic hit Purple Haze.
One own comment: still I use the Octavia pedal, when we 're playing with this hard song Purple Haze.
It was a pivotal moment for my sound. I met this guy called Roger Mayer at a gig in Surbiton. He worked for the Admiralty and he was a boffin, really, into his music. He asked me if I needed anything for my guitar. He came over to my house one day and I played him a song with electric distortion and said, ‘I want to find a way to sustain it.'
Jimmy continues:
Mayer went away and came back with this box with an on/off switch – that meant you could control the distortion. It was phenomenal. When I started taking it to sessions, the other guitarists were blown away. The blood drained from their faces – but the guys doing the arrangements loved it.
Then there were Mayer’s “other box,” some modulator.
It was difficult to control in the studio from the guitar, so I said it wasn’t for me.
Read Page’s full remarks about the distortion pedal and Jimi Hendrix at Uncut Magazine.
