The brand new look will feature on the police force’s online services, paperwork, stationery and vehicles.
The basic shades used by the service will undergo a makeover and new colours, tones and symbols will come into play.
We want to communicate the fact that people are served by one unified police force,says Police Commissioner Mikko Paatero, who´s self is very oldfashioned, and adds that the programme of reforms provides a timely opportunity to engage in the revision and modernisation of the police service.
The overhaul comes as part of general structural and governance reforms planned for the national police service.

The so-called collective identity of the police service will be redefined, with changes being introduced when new police stations commence operations.
Despite the reforms, the boys in blue will retain their traditional look on the streets of Finland. Perhaps, police uniforms are not included in the makeover. It should be,
our police have the need for makeup - yes, even if it is one of the world's least corrupt, there are deep if I say "blood bleeding" fractions between in different police departments.
