The allegorical road

The Road by John Hillcoat, 2009, is a big movie, becouse it stayed in my mind.
According to scheme A father, Viggo Mortensen, and son make their way across a post-apocalyptic United States in hopes of finding civilization amongst the nomadic cannibal tribes in 2929. Productions' adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's thrilling Pulitzer Prize-winning.

I think that the narration is layered. A father is an allegory, as of USA (it was not clear in novel by Cormac McCarthy, John Hillcoat has more than original source by McCarthy).

One of a first clue you see what's going to happening to a black man on the roadside - soon_to_be naked and praying grace.
He reminds a like tortured prisoner in Iraq. Perhaps you have seen some photographs from The Baghdad Central Prison, formerly known as Abu Ghraib.
And what you can hear it's the perfect musical by Nick Cave's original score, accompaniment to the tale of a father and Son, Kodi Smit-McPhee, traveling through an apocalyptic wasteland.
A boy is like Europe with his rising wicked moralical questions.
