A dangerous practice returns, heads by The Journal of Family Practice.
A review of scientific research shows that claims of health benefits from such procedures may be a steaming pile of nonsense. The reports showed little evidence of benefit but plenty of negative side effects, including vomiting, electrolyte imbalance and kidney failure.
At one time I saw that colon method to use in an anthroposophical commune: it seemed useless, as I was thought. I feared soon to be a danger.
They said same old: colon cleansing can help restore balance in the body, etc.
Perhaps the treatment was success, but patient died, later.
The premise, the way of thinking, that you need to do something external to detoxify is wrong. Is truth that body has its own mechanism to detoxify.
Well said.
