The man, who the police said was Michael B. Hill, 20, and lived near the school, the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy, was in a car that the police said they suspected carried some type of explosives along with other weapons.
He was “a young man that was ready to kill anybody that he could”, Antoinette Tuff, said in an interview with ABC News. Ms. Tuff kept him engaged throughout the ordeal. The gunman also held other employees hostage.
I just started telling him my life story and what was going on with me,Ms. Tuff said.
She told him to empty his pockets and backpack and to put his weapons down.
And the man listened, and he got something.
Perhaps no one had ever listened to him, and had understood him.
For americans, a rare skill.
This blog has own way to show appreciation:
US-citizen Antoinette Tuff has deeded the right way and got something done for humanity and to give for merit The Defenser of Humaneness Reward. About this our Virtual symbol,
