During Middle East War in the year 1988  ...The U.S. knew that Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was launching some of the worst chemical attacks in history - and still gave him a hand, and CIA files prove now, America helped Saddam Hussein as he gassed Iran.
And Ronald Regan's administration fed information to Baghdad that helped them launch chemical weapons strikes, it has been revealed.
According to Foreign Policy U.S. intelligence officials conveyed the location of the Iranian troops to Iraq, fully aware that Hussein's military would attack with chemical weapons, including sarin, a lethal nerve agent.
In 1988, during the waning days of Iraq's war with Iran, the United States learned through satellite imagery that Iran was about to gain a major strategic advantage by exploiting a hole in Iraqi defenses.
It was about oil, of which entitled the holder to fight for all kind of weapons  - just 25 years ago.

indiscriminate use of weapons the civilized world long ago decided must never be used at all.

Syria is defying `any code of morality´ with the `indiscriminate slaughter of civilians´, however still gave no hint of whether the United States will take action due to the apparent use of chemical weapons.
