Against the assault on human rights that followed in the wake of the 9/11 atrocities, it is unsurprising that there is international concern that the USA’s concept of justice may, under its global war paradigm, include what amounts to extrajudicial killing under international human rights law.Still I do not understand, why US-president Barack Obama was defined by Nobel Prize Committee, the person to got this Nobel Peace Prize, becouse he does not realy deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.
No matter, I never did like his face.
After Alfred Noble´s death he left a private library of over 1500 volumes, mostly fiction in the original language, works by the great writers of the 19th century, but also the classics and works by philosophers, theologians, historians and other scientists - and quetionsa about peace frontiers. He did not beleave disarmament. Alfred Nobel's thoughts about war and peace is not simply case.
Alfred Nobel´s letter to Bertha von Suttner:
Perhaps my factories will put an end to war sooner than your congresses: on the day that two army corps can mutually annihilate each other in a second, all civilised nations will surely recoil with horror and disband their troops.Nobel did not live long enough to experience the First World War and to see how weak his conception was.
However, The Cold War his the dread balance was his thought. And so a good man to get (postum) Peace Prize, I think, would be Ronald Reagan, for instance.
He was not a pretender: Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We do not pass it to our children in the bloodstream, Reagan said.
