Attempt to trivialize relic

One report deals with the continuing the new excavation of The Easter Island  statue RR-001-156 to the base and Square 4 of RR-001-157. These activities took place during Season V (November 2011) of the Easter Island Statue Project Conservation Initiative.
The report mentions the motivation for  dokumentation was accident at  the April, 2010: 
There were "vandalism to our equipment", said by  Anne Van Tilburg, Ph.D.  Later, this precaution seemed less vital and some days these photos were overlooked.
Photos of each completed level in each square, along with general site documentation and activity overviews, are taken daily.
But who vandalizing, and why?

Now it is clear, more than ever, that these soil layers have not been able to developed into statues around by during the 500-year period.
Statues of historic age guessing of Theosophists were closer to the truth, this is not a recent civilizations, and if there were some clashes between civilizations, this is not current fact.
This relics are from the period when the settlement was located in the Pacific continents, which were developed the first physical man.
