According to Dailymail a sledge glides far more easily over firm desert sand simply because the sand does not pile up in front of the sledge as it does in the case of dry sand.
But they were also much more stronger then we are now, said Dr. Rudolf Steiner, but we do not understand all about the evolution of materia. The `materia´ is getting old, and will lose those own  vitality.
