The jailed Pussy Riot punk group singer Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who went on a hunger strike, has been moved to the prison hospital.
Tolokonnikova's defense lawyer Dmitry Dinze earlier told Interfax that his client was very weak, had low blood pressure and low blood sugar. The defense attorneys were not given the papers documenting Tolokonnikova's transfer to the hospital, disregarding their requests.
Nadya is feeling unwell and she has been moved to the prison hospital, according to the prison's acting head,Tolokonnikova's husband Pyotr Verzilov told Interfax.
He said that other Pussy Riot singers informed defense lawyers about Tolokonnikova's transfer to the hospital after they were not allowed to see her.
We think her transfer to the hospital is the first attempt to block access to her,Verzilov said.
That's absurd, there is no real reason to even keep her in prison.
