Been there, done that

Nobelist Paul Krugman has written in NYTimes.com several times about cockroach ideas in economics - ideas that you try to flush away, but keep coming back.

Accordint to Krugman´s new blogging cockroach ideas are not the same as zombie ideas. Cockroach ideas as misconceptions held because the people holding them are just unaware of basic facts, while zombie ideas are held by people who refuse to acknowledge contrary evidence, Krugman says.
So i do not  the basis on which Olli Rehn and the other mediocre commissioners, would be cockroaches? They are obvious zombies, in their zombie institution.

The amazing thing is the way men who know neither theory nor the history of previous crises are utterly convinced that they know what to do in our current crisis, then Krugman adds:

and how their confidence in their prescriptions has been unaffected by the fact that they have been wrong about everything so far. 

Of course, what’s even more amazing is the fact that these men are actually running things.
Yes, I have wondered same thing, they do not have the resources for much, yet they did in EU something so enormous as a monetary union.
Bells did not ring, no here, there? Mr Krugman.
Is not new, in Jan van Rijckenborgh (1896 -1968)  that soon after the the single currency in the European Union begins to decay of whole system.
