According to Russian media Wikipedia's Russian-language page has shut down for 24 hours in a sign of protest against a law restricting access to information due to be heard in the State Duma on Tuesday.
The bill's authors claim that it is targeted at blocking sites promoting pornography, drug use and self-harm, but critics fear that it could have wider implications.

According to Wikipedia administrators, the bill would lead to the introduction of a Russian analogue of the great Chinese firewall,  so called, a reference to Chinese authorities' practice of filtering online content, including international search engines.

These amendments could become the basis for real censorship on the Internet, as well as the formulation of a list of banned sites and IP addresses with filtered information

Through Russia, also occurs in the persecution of faith, for example, against Scientology Church. The logic here is quite the same: if we allow the state to persecute this one a little suspicious and a nasty, it will be extended to all heretics, Theosophists, the neo-Gnostics, anthroposophists.
So called Slippery slope is traditional fault of argumentation but we have seen that the reactionary social trends, however, are dangerous, and complies and go in accordance with `the error´ logic.
