Perhaps we can´t imagine that (an another link): The segregation went as far as separate movie theatre entrances. African-Americans couldn’t even purchase homes on the same block as whites.
The story so brilliantly narrated by actress and Civil Rights Activist Anna Deavere Smith tells a tale that many young Americans, don’t know much about. The Smithsonian Channel sheds light and gives this story the attention is so richly deserves.
We can find the effective ways to protest there, if only to find a strong vision, determination as well as spirit to sacrifice standby.
