Soon as Ukraine attacked by Russia Ukrainian soldiers discovered on the street cluster bombs with anti-personnel butterfly mines dropped by the Russians in the Kharkiv region in the east of the country, reported the Ukrainian Pravda portal, citing the general staff of the armed forces.
Drop cluster bombs with so called butterfly mines. Color may vary. Finger size. You step on them, take your leg off. So warned the prosecutor general Ukraine Iryna Wenediktowa.
The fact of finding such mines in the Kharkiv region was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The prosecutor general stressed, these mines are
“prohibited throughout the world, prohibited by the Geneva Convention.”
The Ottawa Treaty also bans anti-personnel mines.
They were used in Afghanistan and other conflicts of the 20th century.
A butterfly mine was seen during an exercise in Hammelburg, Germany in 2007.
Apparently, no international agreements apply to Russia.
It would be good to read in the contracts.
Thus:
If money is scarce, one can use the weapons depots of the ancient Soviet Union without moral problems.
