Russians are ready to support an end to the war if Putin decides so. They want to negotiate with
Ukraine.
They want lands as some sort of "war reparation", otherwise there won't be a majority for peace.
Most Russians would support an immediate cessation of hostilities in Ukraine,
follows from a Levada Center survey.
However, the majority of respondents do not agree that the territories seized by Russia should be returned to Ukraine.
As part of a survey about the war, which Levada conducts every month, respondents were randomly divided into two equal groups. The first group was asked: “If President Vladimir Putin decided to end the military conflict with Ukraine this week, would you support or not support this decision?”

33% - I would rather support it

Russians support the Russian army
Three quarters of those surveyed said they support “the actions of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine.” Among respondents in the age group 18-24 years old, 62% said this, among respondents over 55 years old - 82%.
