Mr Williams-Thomas previously fronted the ITV documentary To Catch A Paedophile, which involved him confronting a former Catholic priest who admitted trying to groom a child over the internet.
This investigation into Savile also looks into complaints made to police in 2007 about historic abuse at a Surrey school.
The documentary is, according to DailyMail, understood to feature interviews with women who say they were abused by the former Top of the Pops and Jim’ll Fix It presenter in the 1970s.
In January it emerged that BBC2’s Newsnight programme had investigated the same 2007 allegations and interviewed three former pupils from the Surrey school.
