Accordig to International Business Time the over six hour show was an epic spectacle for a worthy cause. The effort, amount of talent, on stage and the crew producing the show, that were on hand at 12.12.12 mission focusing on making it the best possible show, and benefit concert, was inspiring. Hurricane Sandy devastated New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and recovery efforts are still going on and will go on after the "12.12.12" benefit concert.
Sure, this 12.12.12 gig helped raise awareness and money for the Robin Hood Relief Foundation and gave hope that people will be united in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Sandy.

Post scriptum
The concert donated 100 percent of its proceeds to the Robin Hood Relief Fund, a large-scale relief effort launched specifically to aid people in the tri-state area whose lives were impacted by Hurricane Sandy. The concert was telecast commercial-free on 37 television networks in the U.S., as well as on tv-stations and streaming sites around the country and around the world.
