Peaceful Warrior, 2007. I saw.
I suppose, this movie can help heal man´s soul, sure, and it will put som broken peices back together, so they have told.
Death isn't sad. The sad thing is: most people don't live at all, said Socrates.
Usually I do not like about this genre, that kind of New Age -movies.
Dan Millman's words speak from a place deep within himself that we all wish we could grab on to and bring out of ourselves.
And my favorite Nick Nolte is a good as an an old man (an reel adept, a master of occult wisdom, if I'm not mistaken).
He is a genius, and truly the modern day Ghandi. His words flow like poet
Like some says: If I could give you one great peice of advice, it would be to read this book or see this movie because there truly are no ordinary.
Dan Millman has a handle on his life. As a member of the gymnastics team, it looks like he is on the fast track to the Olympics. His dad has lots of money, he makes straight A’s without much effort, he has his friends on the team, and he only sleeps alone if he wants to. So why is he having bad dreams?
He gets up, and runs down to the service station for a snack to clear his head. Dan starts to leave then turns around to say something, but the old guy is gone. He looks, and sees him on the roof. In a blink of an eye he got from the ground to the roof, with out a ladder.
Couple of things are much more metaphysical; much of what Dan learns are in visions or dreams that he frequently can not distinguish from reality until later. And Socrates demonstrates some very unusual abilities, like making Dan focus on what is happening in the park with absolute clarity.
Wonderful thing about but the man will be able to concentrate on only when he is intact.
