Oslo has officially attributed the cyberattack to its neighbour

Norway spy chief blames Russian hackers for dam sabotage in April.

According to Reuters Russian hackers briefly took control of a dam in Norway earlier this year, the head of the Nordic country's counter-intelligence agency said on Wednesday, the first time Oslo has officially attributed the cyberattack to its neighbour.

While in command of the dam in Bremanger, western Norway, on April 7, the hackers opened a flood gate and released 500 litres (132 gallons) of water per second for four hours before the attack was detected and stopped, authorities previously said.

Russian Police can freeze bank accounts without court orders

President Vladimir Putin has signed a new law granting police broad powers to freeze individuals’ bank accounts without a court order. 

The expanded powers could increase the risk of arbitrary or unjustified asset seizures.

The law also imposes new obligations on financial institutions.

Banks and money transfer services must provide law enforcement with full information about a citizen’s accounts and transactions within three days of a request, or within 24 hours if the request is submitted electronically.

According to The Vedomosti business daily the legislation provides no specific list of crimes that qualify for account freezes and fails to outline key procedural safeguards.

There is no indication, for example, of whether the amount frozen must correspond to the alleged damages, he said. There´s even under the current legal system, property belonging to third parties is sometimes confiscated in economic crime cases without sufficient evidence of illegal origin.

While the law is officially aimed at enhancing tools to combat cyber-enabled financial crimes, critics fear it could be used more broadly to target political opponents, journalists or activists, particularly in an environment where financial pressure is increasingly being used as a tool of state control.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was murdered on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the late opposition leader’s former chief of staff, Leonid Volkov.

“Putin killed Navalny. So on February 16, Vladimir Putin cold-bloodedly it’s a fact proven beyond reasonable doubt.”, Volkov said to Politico.

Volkov was himself the victim of a brutal hammer attack a month after Navalny’s death that left him with a broken arm and head injuries outside his home in Lithuania, where he now lives in exile.

Volkov said the organization Navalny founded will continue to gather information on the attack, having investigated the methods and means deployed by Putin’s regime to target other opponents in recent years.

En av den ryska oppositionens kändaste figurer var i Helsingfors. 

Denna ryske oppositionsaktivist sade att den ryska oppositionen hoppas kunna ordna demonstrationer vid röstningsställena.

"Jag hoppas vi alla kan mötas vid valurnorna den 17 mars för att säga nej till Putin",

sade Michail Chodorkovskij, som höll ett tal under demonstrationen. Han tog i en demonstration mot Rysslands krig mot Ukraina och president Putins regim vid Medborgartorget. 

Det var den anti-putinistiska organisationen De ryskspråkiga finländarnas demokratiska samfund som ordnade demonstrationen.

Också aktivisten och en av oppositionspolitikerns Ksenia Sobtjaks kampanjchefer Anastasija Sjevtjenko deltog i demonstrationen. Sjevtjenko som lever i exil i Vilnius konstaterade i ett tal att Putin tagit livet av politiska opponenter och jagat ut oberoende media ur landet.

The Lürssen shipyard group in Bremen has fallen victim to a cyber attack. As the Lürssen shipyards has announced, the group of companies became the target of a so-called ransomware attack over the Easter days. 

The luxury yacht manufacturers Lürssen and Blohm+Voss has previously stated in marketing communication that they are not interested in asking about the origin of the money offered by its customers.

Billions of dollars have already been laundered in the elite yacht manufacturing shipyard (e.g. money stolen from the Russian state treasury).

The Lürssen Group, based in Bremen-Vegesack, employs around 1,500 people. It is considered a world leader in the construction of luxury yachts and is also active in naval shipbuilding.

The company confirmed this at the request of buten un binnen. When asked, the police confirmed that criminal investigations had already been initiated. In addition, police cybercrime experts would advise the shipyard on how to deal with the incident.

In a ransom attack, attackers usually use malware to penetrate someone else's computer.

"In coordination with internal and external experts, we immediately initiated all necessary protective measures and informed the responsible authorities," 

said a company spokesman. The company did not want to say more at the moment.

Cyber attack apparently brings parts of the company to a standstill

Det är på sin hemsida som Rysslands ambassad i Stockholm publicerat texten med rubriken ”Ett svenskt steg mot avgrunden”. Den är skriven av Rysslands ambassadör i Sverige, Viktor Tatarintsev.

Ambassadören skriver också att Sverige genom att ansluta sig till försvarsalliansen ”tar ett steg ner i avgrunden”.

Där hävdas också att Sverige kommer bli en lydstat och amerikansk koloni.

Denna Rysslands ambassad i Stockholm skriver på sin hemsida att Sverige blir ”ett legitimt mål för Rysslands vedergällningsåtgärder” om landet ansluter till Nato. 

So i texten hävdas att Sveriges politiker lurar svenskarna in i militäralliansen Nato. Se den publicerat texten med rubriken ”Ett svenskt steg mot avgrunden”. 

Bland annat citat:

”Om någon tror fortfarande att detta på något sätt kommer att förbättra Europas säkerhet, kan ni vara säkra på att de nya medlemmarna [Sverige och Finland tydligen] i det fientliga blocket blir ett legitimt mål för Rysslands vedergällningsåtgärder, inklusive de militära.”

Война, Путин и «блядь» 157 раз в разговоре экс‑сенатора Ахмедова с продюсером Пригожиным.

Две недели назад в соцсетях появилась запись «перехваченного» телефонного разговора между, продюсером  Иосифом Пригожиным и бывшим российским сенатором Фархадом Ахмедовым. 

Они критикуют и кремлевских чиновников, и военное командование, и лично Путина, называя их подонками и преступниками. 

Ядро эпохи публикует расшифровку этого разговора с незначительными сокращениями.

Ахмедов: Скажи мне, куда мы идем там? Вот, вот уже по этому телефону более или менее. Вот в целом картина там, куда идет все?

Пригожин: Это самая большая трагедия. Это то, о чем я…

Ахмедов: Они все между собой обсираются. Заявления противоречивые, неконсолидированные, не координированные.

Arrest warrants against Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin

Recently17 March 2023, Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court: ICC issued warrants of arrest for two individuals in the context of the situation in Ukraine: Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and also Ms Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova.

"Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, born on 7 October 1952, President of the Russian Federation, is allegedly responsible (we know that he is) for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population - children - from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation (under articles 8(2)(a)(vii) and 8(2)(b)(viii) of the Rome Statute). The crimes were allegedly committed in Ukrainian occupied territory at least from 24 February 2022. There are reasonable grounds to believe that Mr Putin bears individual criminal responsibility for the aforementioned crimes, (i) for having committed the acts directly, jointly with others and/or through others (article 25(3)(a) of the Rome Statute), and (ii) for his failure to exercise control properly over civilian and military subordinates who committed the acts, or allowed for their commission, and who were under his effective authority and control, pursuant to superior responsibility (article 28(b) of the Rome Statute)."

Emelie blev till med hjälp av donerade spermier vid kvinnokliniken på Länssjukhuset i Halmstad och föddes 1986, rapporterar Expressen.  När hon sedan i vuxen ålder kontaktade kliniken för uppgifter om donatorn, hade de ingen information att ge. 

För att få svar gjorde Emelie DNA-test och kunde genom släktforskare spåra sin donator till en man i Halmstad vid namn Zdravko.

För Zdravko kom Emelies existens som en chock, han hade aldrig donerat någon sperma. Däremot hade han i samband med en fertilitetsutredning med sin dåvarande fru lämnat spermieprov på kliniken.

A pro-Kremlin television presenter has been accused of inciting genocide after calling for Ukrainian children to be “drowned” and “burned” alive during an interview on the state-funded RT channel.

Anton Krasovsky, the chief of Russian-language broadcasting for the channel formerly called Russia Today, said Ukrainian children who said they were being occupied by Russia should be 

“thrown in a river with a strong undercurrent”.

But even in the era of Russian wartime propaganda, where it appears that allmost anything goes, Krasovsky’s remarks have provoked a backlash, commented The Guardian.

They should have been drowned in the Tysyna river,”

said Krasovsky during an interview with the fantasy writer Sergei Lukyanenko. 

“Just drown these children. Drown them!”

Recently he was suspended from RT, and the head of Russia’s powerful investigative committee said it would review his remarks as part of a potential criminal investigation.

The incident has been deeply embarrassing for RT, which has been a vocal cheerleader for the war but also distanced itself from his remarks.

“For the moment, I am halting our cooperation [with this Krasovsky], because neither I nor the rest of the RT team can allow even the thought to flash that one of us is capable of supporting such savagery,” wrote RT’s editor-in-chief, Margarita Simonyan, in a post.

Still Russian state media has previously hosted commentators who have denied the existence of Ukrainian culture or called for the country’s total annexation by Russia.

It is also still very unclear what has happened to the tens of thousands of children who were robbed from Ukraine by the Russian military forces.

Vid tidpunkten för olyckan gjorde stormakternas underrättelsetjänster fortfarande vad de ville här. Och den mindre tacksamma delen av de små staterna var att dölja vad de gjorde här. 

Chefen för Estlands haverikommission, kapten Rene Arikas, säger att skadorna på skrovet är klart mer omfattande än vad som beräknades förra året.

Enligt förra årets förundersökningar var bristningen på höger sida fyra meter hög och 22 meter bred.

"Nu har vi fått veta att revan är minst sex meter hög och minst 40 meter bred."

Utredningen av vraket av fartyget som sjönkes på år 1994 på rutten Tallinn-Stockholm fortsätter. Det beslutades att återuppta undersökningarna efter att tv-teamet upptäckt en tidigare okänd reva i fartygets skrov hösten 2020.
