What is scientific faith based on?

Now I want to tell you the mechanism of its origin.

Scientific faith is based on a set of unprovable philosophical presuppositions about reality.

Scientific faiths trust that the laws of physics and natural processes are constant across time and space, meaning what happens in a lab today worked the same way in the distant past and applies across the observable universe.

Why?

Science assumes that repeating consistent observations and testing hypotheses allows us to make valid, generalized predictions about future. 

This is partly true. It does not solve fundamental problems, such as where do we come from and where are we going?

Who foists the lie on modern materialists and monists that there's nothing eternal, that the soul is contained in the physical body and ends with it. 

Scientific faiths can approach men because of their fear.

What is sleep?

Sleep is a great mystery that our time and our materialistic thinking only know in a few technical aspects.

As sleep continues, however, a man begins to dive down into the experiences undergone in his preceding earthly life , then into those of the life before that, and so on, backwards. 

And when the time of awakening comes he has reached and passed his first, most distant earthly life as an individual. Then according to Rudolf Steiner man reaches the state of being when he was not yet separate from the cosmos, a state of existence in reference to which one cannot speak of an earthly life as an individual.

In generaly the fact is that even during the briefest sleep we rush with tremendous, lightning-like rapidity through all our earthly lives.

Too strong a counterforce

Where is he now?

I know that according to Buddhist tradition, Maitreya is a single, specific future Bodhisattva who is waiting in the Tushita Heaven and will descend to Earth only once as the next Buddha, long after the teachings of Gautama Buddha are completely forgotten.

So,

buddhism teaches that Maitreya is one unique individual, not someone who is reborn every century Waiting in Heaven: 

He is currently resides in there Tushita Heaven until the right time comes for him to be born on Earth.

He will only appear when human beings have very long lifespans and the old teachings of Buddha have vanished from the world.

That is partly true, but this Bohhsiatva individual, not Buddha, and his soulmate are not resting. 

If they really were to rest, in thousands of years there would be no humanity left to save.
