MS is going to do it reportedly with ODM maker Pegatron for the production of Windows 8 OS -based smartphones slated for launch in the first half of 2013, the sources indicated.
Microsoft's move to cooperate with ODMs could backfire, according to Digitimes, since its own-brand WP8 smartphones may compete directly with comparable models coming from its brand partners, including Nokia, HTC and Samsung.
The three branded vendors have all unveiled their WP8 models.
How they are going to continue to work together?
How the Finnish company Nokia?
Bad luck.
I really hope that the competition will do the task, and there is Jolla & co, which take their share of the market.
Post scriptum
According to Gizmodo now Nokia should be more worried than ever about the HTC Windows Phone 8X and 8S - Which Steve Ballmer, Microsoft´s CEO, called Signature phones for Windows Phone 8!
These colorful devices — which bare more than a striking resemblance to the Lumia 920 —will be available for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
Anyone interested in Windows Phone and not on AT&T will likely see the 8X as good enough.
