The actor Josh Hartnett opens up about his hiatus from Hollywood :

I was on the cover of every magazine. I couldn't really go anywhere. I didn't feel comfortable in my own skin. I was alone. I didn't trust anyone,

the actor, 35, tells details to the People magazine.
At least Black Hawk Down was a great film, a great role from him.

So I went back to Minnesota and got back together with my old friends – ended up getting back together with my high school girlfriend for a while – and I didn't do any filming for 18 months.

Despite his hiatus, Hartnett wasn't ready to say goodbye to Hollywood forever. He eventually returned to the movie industry and starred in as many as 10 independent films – only to realize the buzz he had once created had died down.
It may not be quite right to say, but life and the milieu in which he left, it is totally sick. Very often almost the only way to survival is it that, a man go away.
When a man knows what he is and what he wants, he can of course also return.
