Andy Feldbau plays Liszt with Steinway, Sonata in B minor, Hamburg´s Horowitz Hall in 2011 (Part 1)
The Piano Sonata in B minor, German: Klaviersonate h-Moll, S.178, is a sonata for solo piano by Franz Liszt, published in 1854.
You know, there is so much the debate over the "right" way to play it. To me it's simple: play it the way you think it should be played.
If the same piece is interpreted the exact same way the next 100 times, that's the beginning of the end of arts.
One of the primary reasons he achieved the sound: Vladimir Horowitz always traveled with his own Steinway.
In this piano were special hammers, so the felt on the hammers shaved down to give the instrument a bigger sound.
