Snitching at Guantanamo Bay

According to CNN with a diplomatic source there were the courier who was in close contact with Osama bin Laden and who eventually led the United States to him was a Kuwaiti named Abu Ahmad.
With no names U.S. officials have said that when the identity of the courier was established in 2007 the U.S. began a path to the house in Abbottabad, Pakistan, where the al Qaeda leader was living.
Snitched by the name of Abu Ahmad al Kuwaiti, according to CNN, who was reportedly close to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, an informer, a senior operations planner, one who did betray his reference group.
The information on the detainee assessments came from U.S. Defense Department documents published by WikiLeaks.
WikiLeaks documents detailed how the U.S. government held many Guantanamo detainees based on shaky evidence. Even so, the revelations are unlikely to dramatically change their fates. Rather, the disclosures highlight the flaws of the current system set up by the U.S. government to detain suspected al-Qaida terrorists, said with no mames attorneys involved in the cases.
One source is not enought, never, but some might have been convincing.

Wisdom after and before the events

Perhaps the United States did not want to capture Osama bin Laden alive. In fact, it’s quite clear that the US had no desire to capture him.

He does not believe that the US played by the rules when it aimed at killing Osma bin Laden.

Of course, bringing Osama bin Laden to court would have been a more satisfactory solution from the justice prospective, but it would have been a troublesome one for the US since it would involve a very long trial.

Sure, that they didn`t want to involve any kind of very long trial in this case.
It hurts.

After this time nine or ten weeks after 9/11 at the mountains of Tora Bora, as CIA pinpointed Osama bin Laden in the mountains near the border of Pakistan, they did lose him, really.
I said that one possible to continue chasing is to track this specific complicated medical treatment, which that under a cloud needs for alive.
It was the logical conclusion.
And so the suspect did reside in neighborhood of an army hospital. bin Landen´s homebuilding in the city Abbotaba Pakistan was at the next door from a Pakistani military academy (house was 100 yards away from the gate of the academy).

Saab finns uppe igen

Jag litar på det: Saab kan starta produktionen igen i Trollhätan.
Men enligt vad en källa uppger för (Svensk) TV 4 Nyheterna Väst ska Saab vara mycket nära en överenskommelse med ett kinesiskt företag. Även två andra kinesiska företag ska vara intresserade.
Spyker lånar 30 miljoner euro (cirka 270 miljoner kronor) av Gemini Investment Fund Limited. Efter beskedet steg Spyker-aktien med drygt 4 procent på börsen i Amsterdam.
Saab väntar också på 29,1 miljoner euro från Europeiska investeringsbanken (EIB). Det är en del av lånet på 400 miljoner euro som Saab beviljats av EIB och som svenska staten gått i borgen för, Svenska Dagbladet SvS.se berättar. Eric Geers säger:

Tenterhooks with episode endings - the baddie snuffed out

A soap opera is a form of serial drama which is characterized by very cliché plots, themes, and situations. In addition, a soap opera has a continuous narrative and a large, complex cast of characters; most episodes end with a promise that the drama will be continued on the next episode.
But every sheap soap opera `comes to end, some day.
Viewers of soap operas are often kept on tenterhooks with fighters episode endings.

I´m intersted in Dalton Fury´s story, he is the pseudonym of a former Army major who led the secret Delta Force mission to kill Osama bin Laden nine or ten weeks after 9/11, becouse It´s verified, I´ve got about approximately same information about another source (with same level as fury), witch is independent and hasn´t causal relations between with Dalton Fury.
During the raid and only a few hundred yards away from their quarry, the mission was scrubbed and outsourced to the Afghans Tora Bora.
According to CBS 60 Minutes This was as close as America has come to avenging the premeditated murder of it's U.S.citizens in cold blood on 911. This was as close as George W. Bush had ever come to doing something right.
In 2001, just 10 weeks after 9/11, he was a 37-year-old Army major leading a team of America's most elite commandos. CBS 60 Minutes hired a theatrical make up artist to take this former Delta officer through a series of transformations to disguise him.

The administration's strategy was to let Afghans do most of the fighting. Using radio intercepts and other intelligence, the CIA pinpointed bin Laden in the mountains near the border of Pakistan. Following the strategy of keeping an Afghan face on the war, Fury's Delta team joined the CIA and Afghan fighters and piled into pickup trucks. They videotaped their journey to a place called Tora Bora.

Fury was looking at a ridgeline with an elevation of about 14,000 feet.

Right here you're looking at basically the battlefield from the last location that we had a firm on Osama bin Laden's location. It would be to attack such a position on a scale of one to ten in my experience it’s a ten.

Delta developed an audacious plan to come at bin Laden from the one direction he would never expect.

We want to come in on the back door. The original plan that we sent up through our higher headquarters, Delta Force wants to come in over the mountain with oxygen, coming from the Pakistan side, over the mountains and come in and get a drop on bin Laden from behind.

But they didn't take that route, because Fury says they didn't get approval from a higher level.

Whether that was Central Command all the way up to the president of the United States, I'm not sure.

The next option that Delta wanted to employ was to drop hundreds of landmines in the mountain passes that led to Pakistan, which was bin Laden’s escape route.

First guy blows his leg off, everybody else stops. That allows aircraft overhead to find them. They see all these heat sources out there. Okay, there a big large group of Al Qaeda moving south. They can engage that.

But they didn't do that either, because Fury says that plan was also disapproved. He says he has "no idea" why.
Delta has coming up with a tactical plan that's disapproved by higher headquarters.

In my experience, in my five years at Delta, never before.

Delta team had only about 50 men. So the mission would depend on the Afghan militia as guides and muscle. Their leader was a warlord and self-styled general named Ali.
Ali told to Fury after about 30 seconds of discussion, he kind of listened to me ramble on and then the first thing he said was: 'I don't think you guys can handle it. You can't handle Al Qaeda in these mountains', Ali said.

And this is where it gets complicated. At about the same time, the CIA, George, comes into our room and he says, 'Guys, I got a location for Osama bin Laden.' That's probably the best locational data we've had on Osama bin Laden ever.
We're about 2,000 meters away from where we think bin Laden's at still. From where we're at. Now we have to make a decision.

Fury had two choices: advance his small team with no Afghan support, or return to camp and assault in the morning. He was under orders to make the Afghans take the lead, and intelligence said there were more than 1,000 hardened fighters protecting bin Laden.

My decision to abort that effort to kill or capture bin Laden when we might have been with 2,000 meters of him, about 2,000 yards, still bothers me. It leaves me with a feeling of somehow letting down our nation at a critical time. Osama bin Laden might have been 500 meters way.

So there's always that doubt that we might have run into him. We also might got up there and found nothing. It wasn't worth the risk at that particular moment to go up there and play cowboy.

And then something extraordinary happened: Fury's Afghan allies announced they had negotiated a cease fire with al Qaeda, something the Americans had no interest in. When Fury's team advanced anyway, his Afghan partners drew their weapons on Delta. It took 12 hours to end the bogus cease fire, precious time for al Qaeda to move.
Fury says their assumption was that bin Laden was heading for a valley at that time.

Knivrån i Stocholm

Anders Wallner, Maria Wetterstrands pressekreterare och är föreslagen att bli Miljöpartiets nye partisekreterare, skadades allvarligt vid ett knivrån i Alby i natt.
Rånet rånet skedde i närheten av en bankomat i Alby centrum söder om Stockholm vid 01-tiden natten till söndag.
Enligt Aftonbaladet Wallner lyckades med hjälp av vänner ta sig med tunnelbanan till Skärholmen. Där blev han hjälpt av allmänhet och polis. Han fördes i ambulans till Södersjukhuset och opererades vid tretiden i natt.
Anders Wallner har tidigare varit språkrörssekreterare hos Maria Wetterstrand. Maria Wetterstrand själv avböjer att kommentera händelsen.
Det känns jobbigt, säger Maria Wetterstrand till Aftonbladet.

Overall, alcohol was the most harmful drug (overall harm score 72), with heroin (55) and crack cocaine (54) in second and third places by The Lancet, Volume 376, Issue 9752, Pages 1558 - 1565, 6 November 2010.

The nine categories in harm to self are drug-specific mortality, drug-related mortality, drug-specific damage, drug-related damage, dependence, drug-specific impairment of mental function, drug-related impairment of mental functioning, loss of tangibles, loss of relationships, and injury. The harm to others categories are crime, environmental damage, family conflict, international damage, economic cost, and decline in community cohesion. I det senaste temanumret av Nyt Tid går i tryck, måndagen efter riksdagsvalet, är det oklart hur Finlands nya regering kommer att se ut.

Så här efter valdagen borde den allmänna populistiska opportunismen minska något, men den bittra sanningen är att Sannfinländarna troligen inte negligeras som regeringsparti och att Timo Soini i kraft av sin storlek kommer att kräva och få ett reellt inflytande på politiken.

Klart att det finns förvisso områden där man kan acceptera ett visst sannfinländskt genomslag, exempelvis skattepolitiken, men migrationspolitiken låtas mer brutale teksten.
Enligt Ny Tid argumenten av Sannfinländarna är i och för sig sanna men de ger intrycket att invandring är något vi får acceptera med långa tänder. Samhellet agerar inte så.
Därutöver måste regeringsprogrammet innehålla en humanistisk värdemarkering. Vi vill ta emot invandrare för att det är rätt och riktigt att dela med sig av välfärd och trygghet.
Samtidigt som migration är ett naturligt tillstånd för människan och en enorm möjlighet för mänskligheten skall man inte förneka de små och stora problem den ger upphov till. Stängda gränser är däremot ingen lösning. .. Läs mera.

Den nyvalda riksdagsledamoten Teuvo Hakkarainen, Sannf, uttalade sig hetsiga debatter i tisdags för Helsingin Sanomat. Han svamlade bland annat om som `negergubbar´ och om alla möjliga muslimer som går här och dräller.
Nu minoritetsombudsmannen Eva Biaudet ber riksåklagaren undersöka Hakkarainens uttalande om muslimer och invandrare - om uttalandet faller inom ramen för yttrandefriheten eller om Hakkarainen gjort sig skyldig till brott.
Biaudet anser att uttalandet framför allt är rasistiskt och kränker människovärdet.

Slayen brought the life-sized doll to the Today studios Monday to show off her handiwork. The Barbie stands about 6 feet tall with a 39" bust, 18" waist and 33" hips. has no plans to ever track iPhone users.

According to Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) in response to growing public concern about the collection of location data with smartphones also smartpdevices and laptops.

The recent change was sparked by a research paper which revealed that Apple was routinely storing tracking data on Apple iPhones and iPads in a secret file "consolidated.db.

There's no immediate harm that would seem to come from the availability of this data. Nor is there evidence to suggest this data is leaving your custody. But why this data is stored and how Apple intends to use it — or not — are important questions that need to be explored.

Apple announced four changes to smartphones iOS 4. A hidden file in iOS 4 is regularly recording the position of devices.
Apple said it will limit the storage of locational data to one week; stop transferring locational data from the device to the user's computers, allow users to delete all locational data collection on the device; and encrypt the locational data stored on the device.
The update should be available in the next few weeks.

Vem misstänks för någonting att planerar saboten?

Det är större tabu så det, att ochså i Finland, nya nazerna kan hålla sig dold bakom i det nya protestpartier.

Den undersökningen som Institutet för hälsa och välfärd gjort, presenteras i tidskriften Yhteiskuntapolitiikka.

Det skulle isolera Finland

We do not know, but I´am quite sure the prohibition law against burqa would be stopping some kind of expansion of radical fundamentalistic islam as talebans. Becouse this people cannot live without their own holy traditions, ant if it´s the one essencial has prohibited, may they don´t come.

Fundamentalism everywhere looks the same at as living in the middle age Europe. Also many inner lows of fundamentalistic religion districts is acting as under the same group dynamics.
There is, in the western world, enough quick-tempered churches and cults. I think, they are all the same, deeply, becouse they talk about same things, similar systems instead of terminology alternating.

In the other hand I uderstand as Muslims protested furiously and demanded a general prohibition of Christmas trees. We do not need Christmas trees or Easter´s eggs or other desillusions.

But I´am not willing the act of segregating, separation or isolation people from others. Our own culture is sick, for instance own traditons. I see school and family photographs telling the fairly lies. Lets keep predenting, as Pink said in song called Familypotret.

En gång pasifist - alltid pasifist

Jag ska skita ut min repertoar: där man kan döda i den svensk-finska områden i Mazar-i-Sharif.
Är det verkligen fred vi vill ha? Nej, vi vill ha en del av kriget.
Jag bara hoppas att det startas någon ökad svensk-finska debatt om att ta hem våra trupper från Afghanistan. Om ett land lämnar Afghanistan så finns det möjlighet fler följer med.

Inte är faktum so att då talibanerna kommer att inse att om dom fortsätter så kan dom kanske få finskarna eller svenskarna att dra sig ur ISAF. International Security Assistance Force, den av FN etablerade och av Nato ledda styrka som stöder Afghanistans regeringsstyrkor. The first generation of new conservatism was fueled by religious change political faction, witch involved, blended and disguised itself within old conservatism, but in fact, since in 1980 aimed at the emergence of a conservative counter-establishment.

According to columnist Gerard Baker it took, improbably, the arrival of George Bush in the White House and September 11, 2001, to catapult neoconservatism into the public consciousness. When Mr Bush cited its most simplified tenet — that the United States should seek to promote liberal democracy around the world — as a key case for invading Iraq, neoconservatism was suddenly everywhere. It was, to its many critics, a unified ideology that justified military adventurism, sanctioned torture, and promoted aggressive Zionism.

Some group of political scholars defined on the charge of explaining, and confronting the new conservatism of the last twenty-five years.

The bad tendency of the new conservatism, while, is at here now in the northern counrties. I felt it in the night of the elections.

Länge har fientligheten mot den svenskspråkiga minoriteten i Finland funnits bland befolkningen. I söndagens finska riksdagsval blev det nationalistiska partiet Sannfinländarna landets tredje största parti, med 19 procent av rösterna, skriver Aftonbladet.
Om det blir trots, i stället man måste kämpa för det svenska.

Det fanns visserligen en någorlunda minoritet som förhöll sig negativt till det svenska språket.
Men jag har inte sett alls fientligheten mot den svenskspråkiga minoriteten i Finland.

Men andra saken: nästan 40 procent av finlandssvenskarna anser att den obligatoriska svenskan i de finskspråkiga skolorna kunde slopas eftersom den väcker så starka aggressioner. Det framgår av en enkät som Institutet för finlandssvensk samhällsforskning har gjort för Yles nyheter.
Det var inte en liten minoritet.
Av dem som svarat säger 46 procent nej och 39 procent ja medan 15 procent inte kan säga.
Forskaren Kjell Herberts vid Åbo Akademi ansåg att enkäten visar på ett klart trendbrott i Svenskfinland. Efter alla diskussioner om den obligatoriska svenskan är finlandssvenskarna i dag mera kluvna än tidigare och allt fler upplever att den ger badwill.

Annars: SFP:s ordförande tror, att Samlingspartiet, SDP och Sannfinländarna tillsammans skulle få en majoritet bakom sig i riksdagen så att SFP behövs som en balanserande kraft i den nya regeringen.

One of my favorite old record category collection is progressive rock and fusio jazz, I was a digger, for example Pink Flod´s Atom Heart Mother, 1970, is good for `rattles and jangles´, then also all early wroks of King Crimson. Gong was one, listened.
Most of my records are old 70s. My real favorite was the band named Van Der Graaf Generator formed in 1967 in Manchester England. Not for common people, that´s why, very undervalued among the old prog bands I always thought.
The tide was almost magical, if we would beleaved Peter Hammill´s own words.

It was I remember that much of 'Pawn Hearts', by Van Der Graaf Generator, 1970, was written in my country cottage, which thereafter was haunted by a strangeness which clearly could be laid at the door of the damned fellow.

Sannfinländarnas ordförande Timo Soini utlovar en förändring i Europapolitiken: Europapolitiken ska förändras.
Varför? Därföt att partiett ska vilja ha att komma till regeringssonderingarna.
Sannfinländarnas framgång sänder ett starkt budskap från väljarna om ett missnöje med den nuvarande politiken. Timo Soinis retorik är närä av klassisk vänsterretorik.

Åsa Bengtsson, docent i statskunskap vid Åbo Akademi, sayer, att Sannfinländarna är ett populistiskt parti som ny kan vara svårt att placera på den politiska kartan. Del av retorik är lika som klassisk gammal vänsterretori.
Andra delen kommer marginalen från höger: man vill att problemen i det här landet ska lösas först och att finländare först ska ha det bra innan man börjar spendera pengar i andra sammanhang. Det är klart, att kontaktuppgifter finns i marginalen till höger.
Enligt Bengtsson stämningen mot övriga grupper i samhället är fientlig.

Det är tragiskt att höra. Ett slutet samhälle, ett nationalistiskt samhälle där alla påminner om varandra och beter sig enligt normen.

Bengtsson erinrar, att samtidigt betonas rättvisefrågor, att man vill hjälpa dem som har det sämre.
Klart är i alla fall redan nu att Samlingspartiet kommer att dra regeringssonderingarna, trots att de största stötestenarna då det gäller att bilda regering blir EU-frågor, och det finns också radikalt olika åsikter om välfärdsfrågor, pensionsåldern, invandrarpolitik.
Det är svårt eftersom den ekonomiska situationen är sådan den är och det finns ganska strikta ramar, det vill säga det inte finns så mycket pengar att spendera. Samlingspartiet måste kanse komma emot i omfördelningsfrågorna.
