The winter solstice

There will be conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn - it visibles in the deep blue sky on this astronomical-astrological special day: is the shortest day of the year. The pair of planets will show up in the night sky for about an hour after sunset each evening, according to astronomers. You'd have to go all the way back to just before dawn on March 4, 1226 to see a closer alignment between these objects, to see  that same phenomenon. While the planets won't physically be close to each other at all, of course, they'll look like a single point of bright light to anyone looking up at the night sky.
If the skies are clear then the alignment should still be visible from just about anywhere on Earth.
