If setting

Looks like a Finnish startup according to BusinessTech.
It might not get a huge amount of third party support, but if all the basics are there in terms of core applications, if the platform is open enough that a handful of dedicated HTML5 and Qt developers can fill in the gaps, and if they can keep a tight control on all the costs involved, then according to Forbes Jolla Co could carve out a very nice segment of the market.
Yes, is not  a Ferrar, is a Linux-based phone.
But I agree with jolla-bloggers It was very positive news about Jolla securing finance to develop their first Meego device and secure contracts with retailers.
It can be interesting to see how this development unfolds over the coming months.
We all hoping for a high-end premium device that will help distinguish Jolla from the increasing crowded smartphone market and make it distinctive in its own micro-Linux.

Jolla, a 200-person startup consisting of former Nokia employees—including Marc Dillon, who spearheaded Nokia’s work on OS Meego—says it is prepping a Meego-based smartphone to debut suun, `later this year´.
