St. Petersburg singer Diana Loginova may be charged with defamation

St. Petersburg singer Diana Loginova may be charged with discrediting the army and other offenses. Street singer Naoko may face two administrative charges.
Videos of her performances in the city center have gone viral on social media. Noize MC has been designated a foreign agent by the Russian Ministry of Justice. The footage shows Diana performing a song by the foreign agent Noize MC, which is banned from distribution. The crowd enthusiastically sings along.
Loginova and her fellow bandmates were filmed earlier this week performing Swan Lake Cooperative, a song by Russian rapper Noize MC. Video footage of their performance shows the crowd actively singing along with them.
Noize MC was labeled a foreign agent by the Russian government in November 2022, and lives in exile since the start of the full-scale war.
His song Swan Lake Cooperative was labeled extremist in the spring of 2025, with the St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office claiming it poses a threat to children’s health.

The winner of the Wildlife Photographer

The winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition was announced in London on Tuesday evening.
The photo was taken by South African wildlife photographer Wim van den Heever in the abandoned diamond mining town of Kolmanskop in Namibia.
According to the competition press release, what makes the photo particularly impressive is that the brown hyena in the photo is the world's rarest species of hyena. It moves mostly at night and alone.

End of the war will come one day

Source: Banksy.
Ukraine can use American-supplied Atacm long-range missiles to strike inside of Russia, but before that the US administration had blocked strikes inside of Russia, only allowing the Ukrainian military to use shorter-range missiles to strike in Ukrainian territory seized by Russia.
President Donald J Trump long opposed allowing Ukraine to strike Russia, but  now Trump has recently taken an interest in the possibility of Ukrainian strikes deep into Russia.
The White House confirmed July reports that Trump discussed with Zelenskyy whether Ukraine would be able to strike St. Petersburg and Moscow with U.S.-supplied weapons.
Recently, though, he did write at the end: "Interesting times ahead!".
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that:
"Right now, the signals coming from Russia are, to be honest, simply indecent. They are trying to wriggle out of the need to hold a meeting. They do not want to end this war. They continue massive attacks against Ukraine and extremely intense assaults on the front line. And on top of that, they are launching missiles at an American enterprise -- just like they do at many of our other completely civilian targets."
Zelenskyy will continue diplomatic discussions with partners and encouraged greater pressure on Russia to end the war, which began when Putin's forces invaded Ukraine in Feb. 2022.
